Bring your health data into one daily view.
Tawen turns supported Health Connect records into a daily readiness score and an explanation of your available signals. Start by checking that your health app shares the records you want to use.
Check your phone and your data source
- Your phone: Android 9 or newer with Google Play services. Use your personal profile; Health Connect does not support work profiles. Check Google’s requirements.
- Your health app: it needs to write supported records to Health Connect. A number shown in a watch or companion app does not automatically mean that record is shared.
- Your permissions: the source app needs permission to write the relevant data, and Tawen needs permission to read it. You choose which types to share.
No wearable? Activity records may still be available if your phone or a connected app writes them to Health Connect. That does not provide missing sleep, HRV or other measurements.
Connect your apps in four steps
1. Open Health Connect
On Android 14 or newer, look in Settings → Security and privacy → Privacy Controls → Health Connect. On Android 9–13, install Google’s Health Connect app if needed, then open it from Settings → Apps → Health Connect. Menu names can vary by phone. Google’s setup guide shows the current paths.
2. Enable sharing in your health app
Open the app that receives your watch or tracker data. Find its Health Connect integration, enable the data types it supports, and complete a device sync. Some apps start sharing from their own settings rather than from Health Connect.
3. Let Tawen read your chosen records
Open Tawen and follow its Health Connect permission prompt. To review the grants later, open Health Connect → App permissions → Tawen. Enable reading for the types you want Tawen to use. Check the source app’s write permissions separately. Manage permissions by app and data type.
4. Check what reached Tawen
After the source app finishes syncing, open Tawen’s Dashboard and pull down to refresh. Review the available signals and the displayed update time. Source syncing and Android background scheduling can delay updates; opening Tawen does not create records that the source has not shared.
Which records should you look for?
- Sleep: sleep sessions, including stages when the source provides them.
- Heart: heart rate, resting heart rate and HRV measured as RMSSD. These are separate record types.
- Activity: steps, distance and exercise sessions.
- Blood oxygen: oxygen saturation records, when available.
- Temperature: supported skin-temperature changes and body-temperature records, when available.
Availability depends on your source app, device and Android support. Tawen marks unavailable signals and shows when data is partial. With too little usable data, it may not show a score.
If a signal is missing, follow the HRV and sleep troubleshooting guide to check the source, Health Connect and Tawen in that order.
Start with your free daily view
The free app includes the daily score, a two-sentence daily insight preview and seven days of history. Optional one-time Pro adds full daily insights, 90-day history, weekly reports and widgets. Google Play shows the current local price and availability.
The score is computed on your phone. Gemini Nano can explain it on supported phones when the model is available and generation succeeds; rule-based explanations provide the fallback. Pro does not guarantee Nano availability.
