Summary
The Tawen website (tawen.app) uses Fathom Analytics without analytics cookies. Website measurement still involves data processing. Cloudflare may set a security cookie; details follow.
1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy applies to the Tawen website at tawen.app. It does not apply to the Tawen Android App, which is governed by the Privacy Policy.
This policy covers website cookies and the Fathom analytics script. How the Tawen Android app handles diagnostic and usage data (including Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics) is described in the Privacy Policy, not here.
2. Does tawen.app Use Cookies?
Cookie-free analytics. The Website uses Fathom Analytics. Fathom states that its analytics script does not use cookies or similar browser storage technologies. It nevertheless processes personal data, including IP addresses and User-Agent information, to provide measurement and security. See Fathom's cookie documentation and Privacy Policy Section 3.5.
We do not use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel on the website. Cloudflare's security-cookie handling is described below.
3. Infrastructure-Level Technical Data
tawen.app is delivered through Cloudflare for security and performance. Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie named __cf_bm for bot management. This cookie:
- contains a hashed representation of your IP and browser characteristics;
- expires within 30 minutes of the page session;
- is used solely to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated bots;
- does not track you across websites and is not used for advertising.
Cloudflare also processes your IP address for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. Web Fonts and External Resources
The Website uses your device’s system fonts. The website also loads the Fathom analytics script from cdn.usefathom.com; the script sends measurement requests to Fathom. Website analytics are separate from the App's Firebase analytics setting.
5. Email Contact Links
The Website’s email contact links open your email client with our address pre-populated. No data is transmitted to our servers when you click the link. If you send us an email, your email address is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control
Our current Fathom embed does not enable its optional Do-Not-Track setting, and this website does not implement a GPC handler. These browser signals therefore are not implemented here as a switch that disables website analytics. See Fathom's embed settings. You can contact [email protected] about privacy choices and rights requests. This description of current behavior is not a statement that cookie-free analytics are exempt from applicable privacy obligations.
7. Future Changes
If website measurement or cookie practices change, we will update this Policy and the Privacy Policy and address applicable notice and consent requirements. Keeping Fathom does not itself determine which requirements apply.
8. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies alone does not disable cookie-free Fathom analytics; a browser content blocker can block its script or requests. Disabling the App's analytics setting does not disable website analytics. The __cf_bm cookie can be blocked using browser privacy tools or extensions such as uBlock Origin. Blocking it may affect the website's ability to defend against bot traffic but will not affect your ability to view the content.
